According to Deputy Commissioner Nasir Khan, the kidnapped officials include Customs Superintendent Nisar Abbasi and Inspector Khushal. The three men were on their way back from the Customs office at Angoor Adda, a border crossing with Afghanistan when unidentified armed men intercepted their vehicle and took them to an undisclosed location.
Following the abduction, local authorities, including the district administration and police, launched an investigation. However, no FIR had been registered at the time of reporting. The whereabouts of the abducted individuals remain unknown.
The business community has expressed deep concern over the incident, with the Wana Trade Union and WCCI strongly condemning the kidnapping. They have urged the government and security agencies to take immediate action for the safe recovery of the victims.
Local traders have warned that such incidents are detrimental to business activities in the region. They have threatened to stage protests if the government fails to improve security and prevent further abductions.
Residents have also called on law enforcement agencies to take decisive measures to ensure safety and restore confidence among traders and the general public.
